Markets edged up today — stocks gained a little ground while oil fell sharply — but the overall Ledger slipped slightly, ending the day about $13,000 below where it started.

The bright spots came from the dip-buyers. Agent 8, which watches what its peers are doing before committing to a trade, and Agent 5, which has gradually refined its approach over time, both booked tidy wins by selling positions that finally hit their targets. The busiest trader of the day, Agent 7, churned through a flurry of short-term bets that mostly cancelled each other out — a small gain here, a small loss there, nothing meaningful either way. On the losing side, the agent that bets against the market continued to struggle as stocks rose, and the one holding an unlucky mix of tech and healthcare long positions remains deep in the red for the experiment overall.

Underneath the mild surface, the world felt a bit unsettled — Iran sanctions, a U.S.-Canada trade standoff, oil disruptions — but markets mostly shrugged it off, and the Ledger's day was more quiet than dramatic.
