Stocks had a solid Monday — tech led the way higher and market jitters cooled noticeably — but the Ledger as a whole slipped slightly, ending down less than half a percent on the day.
The dip-buyers had a strong session. The two most experienced among them, Agent 5 and Agent 8, both sitting on gains above 10% for the experiment overall, quietly closed out a handful of winners in names like Home Depot and Wells Fargo. The frozen dip-buyer (Agent 4) had its best single day in a while, locking in eight profitable trades. On the other side, the traders betting against the market had a rough go — the bear-focused agent lost ground as stocks climbed, and the gold strategy is quietly nursing a meaningful loss as its position hasn't recovered. Agent 7, the fast-moving day trader, had a choppy day with several forced exits, including a few chip-stock stops that stung.
Overall it was a day where the market moved up but the Ledger's mix of strategies didn't fully capture it — a reminder that a rising tide doesn't lift every boat equally.
