Stocks had a strong day overall, with tech leading the charge and the broad market climbing nearly two percent — though oil took a sharp hit on signals that a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz might be close.

The dip-buyers had a particularly good Tuesday. All three versions of that strategy — including the standout "evolving" dip-buyer, which is now up over 13% for the experiment — locked in gains on a string of positions that had finally reached their targets. The day trader churned through a busy slate of short-term trades and ended roughly flat, with a few small wins offsetting a couple of stops. On the other side, the agent that bets against the market was hurt again — its short positions keep running the wrong way as stocks climb — and the gold-silver strategy is quietly sitting on a significant loss as its gold position lags expectations.

All told, the portfolio slipped just a fraction of a percent despite the market's strong day, which mostly reflects those few struggling strategies pulling against the grain of an otherwise decent session.
